11 With punching needles for perfect spatial sound Perforating wood is a demanding task because the material is thin and must be processed without lubricants to ensure adhesion of glue and coating. This challenge was addressed by FIBRO by optimising the geometry of the punching needles. Efficiency and precision makes punching an indispensable process in many industries. Thread formed at 150 strokes/min Integrating the FETU thread tapping unit into the punching and forming process achieved an increase in the production output of sockets of around 50%. The solution deployed here was a custom solution rather than a standard one. Integrated process monitoring also contributes to increasing product quality. Safe removal of clips From airbags to panels – vehicle manufacturers rely on clips for fastenings, manufactured as stamped and bent parts.
